Desert Speedtrap
From Loonipedia
Desert Speedtrap Starring Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote was released in 1994 for the Sega Master System console and Sega Game Gear color handheld system. It was also released for NES, Game Boy Color, SNES, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, PC, Game Boy Advace and GameCube.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
The Road Runner must outwit the Coyote, while maintaining his strength by eating birdseed. While the premise is not unlike that of some other popular games for Game Gear and Mega Drive/Genesis, this platform game suffered in popularity due to difficulties encountered in controlling the Road Runner.
Graphics[edit | edit source]
The desert graphics are well-suited to the Sega Game Gear screen and reasonably faithful to the Looney Tunes series upon which it is based. The sound effects include the expected "beep beep" and pecking noises of the Road Runner.
On Other Systems[edit | edit source]
Desert Speedtrap was also released for the Sega Master System console.
The games are about alike, other than color palette and size adjustments.
